Forest School - Year 1

Year 1 have enjoyed pond dipping in their Forest School session this week. We were able to identify some of the creatures we found using an ID chart. There were plenty of snails, whirly gig beetles, water boatman and a couple of baby newts. There was great excitement when someone caught an 'enormous' adult newt and Mrs Copland was pleased to see that some of our previously released tadpoles had obviously survived, as we saw a couple of very small froglets still with their tails.
