This year World Book Day was on Thursday 7^th March, it is a worldwide celebration of reading, authors and illustrators. Research shows that reading for pleasure is the single biggest indicator of a child’s future success, and something at Monksmoor we are very passionate about. Therefore we celebrated reading through a whole week of events!

On Monday we really enjoyed a book swap. We each brought a book into school and browsed the other books. It was fun looking for a new story with our friends and getting to take something new home!
