Our curriculum will provide each and every child the opportunity to flourish. Children will feel safe and happy at school and will be in the best possible position to learn and grow. They will acquire wisdom, knowledge and skills and be able to use them to explore the world around them and develop a sense of curiosity.

At Monksmoor Park CE Primary School, our carefully designed curriculum ensures that knowledge and skills are built progressively from Early Years through to Year 6. Each subject has been thoughtfully sequenced so that new learning builds on what has been taught before, enabling children to make meaningful connections and develop a deep understanding over time. Regular opportunities to revisit and consolidate prior learning are embedded throughout the curriculum, helping pupils to strengthen their long-term memory and apply their knowledge with confidence in new contexts. This approach ensures that learning is not only retained but also continually extended, preparing our children to flourish and aspire in the next stage of their education and beyond.
