Admissions
We offer a calm, child-centred setting for three and four year olds in our popular nursery class within our school.
We have produced a video tour, which has been complimented with videos and photos of children in action. Whilst we appreciate it is always best to see something in person, we hope it gives you a good feel of our nursery and what we have to offer. Click here to view our video.
Eligibility
From the school term following a child’s third birthday parents and carers are entitled to free childcare to a maximum of 15 hours per week over 38 weeks. For those eligible to receive extended free childcare 30 hours of care is available.
Eligibility can be checked through the government website: www.gov.uk/apply-30-hours-free-childcare.
Sessions
Universal Funding and Extended Funding Sessions Available
The following sessions are available to parent/carers using government funding, flexibly and in continuous blocks, subject to availability and as per our admissions criteria. We strongly recommend at least five sessions per week, either mornings, afternoons or 2.5 fully days consecutively to support access to a broad curriculum.
Morning session: 8:30 am to 11:30 am - 3 hours
Afternoon session: 11:30am –2:30pm – 3 hours
Full day session : 8:30am – 2:30pm – 6 hours
Wraparound Care – 2:30pm – 3:30pm - Privately paid charges at £1.45 per hour.
If parent/carers are ineligible for Extended Funding to cover the cost of sessions exceeding the universal 15 hours funding, children may still attend, however these will be chargeable at the privately-funded rate of £4.50 per hour. Failure to pay the privately funded hours charges will result in unenrolment of the additional sessions, outside of the government funding.
Lunch Provision
Lunchtime is from 11:30am – 12:15pm. A packed lunch box must be provided from home together with an appropriate drinks bottle.
Attendance
Nursery attendance follows the school term dates set for the year which includes teacher training days.
Funding is paid for a maximum of 10 consecutive days absence (2 weeks if part-time) or 30 days over the funding year. Persistent non-attendance may result in review or withdrawal of the place.
A rate of £4.50 per hour will be chargeable to the school for sessions after the time periods stated above for non-attendance. If the charges incurred are not paid for, this will result in the withdrawal of the place.
