Year 3 - Pompei and Tectonic Plates
This week the Badgers have been investigating what life was like in Pompei using secondary resources. The children have also been looking at how the movement of tectonic plates result in earthquakes.
In our Latin lessons the focus has been on the similarities between English and Latin words using word roots. The children have also been learning how to say ‘best’, ‘water’, ‘cow’ and ‘witch’ in Latin and have also been sorting Latin verbs and Latin nouns.
The Badgers have continued to learn ball skills in PE and even ended the week taking on Mr Cooper and Miss Rashid in dodgeball! Ask us how we got on in a very excitable lesson that revealed one of our adults has exceptional dodgeball skills.
In literacy, we have been looking at personification and metaphor to help write our autumn poems. In DT, work continues on our greenhouse project.
