Year 3 have started their independent write in English. They are continuing the story after the book ‘The True Story of the Three Little Pigs’ has finished. In science the children have been investigating the porosity of sedimentary rocks and have looked at how sedimentary rocks are formed. In topic - Rocks, Relics and Rumbles – that has strong links to the science, the children have also looked at how fossils are formed. In art, the children have continued to develop their drawing of ammonites and have designed a tile and used this for printing. In maths they are continuing to develop their knowledge of place value and this will extend to addition and subtraction in the coming weeks.
