A new term and whole lot of new learning!  Woodpeckers started their new English unit this week.  Based on a poem about the flow and movement of a river we have been discovering the “shapes” of the poem by looking closely at the vocabulary choices of the author.

We have also put on our dancing shoes and started devising our own dance moves to a count of eight to a spy themed soundtrack – James Bond watch out! 

And finally, we started a new maths unit too, looking at the concept of area and the different ways we could measure and calculate it for regular shapes.
