Woodpeckers finished their English unit of work on poetry this week pulling together their understanding of metaphors and FANTASTICS to create some wonderful pieces.  We have now jumped straight into our next genre – an adventure narrative. 

In maths we have practised our 6, 7 and 9 multiplication and division tables. 

In topic we learnt about altitudinal zones on large mountains and how the temperature affects the vegetation that grows and consequently the types of animals that might live there.

In computing we have built our own “scenes” that use IF/ELSE control statements based on input from the user to control what is displayed on the screen.

Thoughtful Year 4 pupil Esmei showed love to another recently by writing to King Charles III upon the news of his mother's death.  She was thanked in a card from King Charles III for sending "a wonderfully generous message".  Well done for showing compassion and thinking of how you can help others, Esmei.
