Year 4 - Yoga, mountains and the Christmas Fayre

This week Year 4 have been learning about five different ways mountains are formed. We used playdough to recreate them: Can you spot fold mountains, volcanic mountains, dome mountains, fault-block mountains and plateau mountains? The children worked hard to create information pages about the different types of mountains. We had our final session of Yoga too.

Year 4 also practiced their recall of their knowledge about electricity by working in small groups to solve some reasoning problems. They then moved on to create a hoopla game using their knowledge of conductors and insulators; creating a game where the aluminium foil hoop completed the circuit and made a buzzer sound. They were very enthusiastic and independent about their work and also became quite creative. The group decided they would like to use their game at the Christmas fayre and even began to make posters to promote it! Well done Year 4!
