This term Year 3 have been enjoying learning a little bit about Ancient Eygpt as a foundation for our Mystery Narrative writing! We have also been focusing on bullying as a theme in our Reading through the book Cloud Busting.  We have extended this learning to PSHE in which we considered different scenarios, how they make others feel and what we could do differently.

In Maths we have looked at Mass and Capacity and Fractions whilst continuing to reinforce our operations which as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.  We enjoyed an afternoon of orienteering whilst challenge ourselves in Times Tables!

Elsewhere we have been designing Party Invitations in Computing, investigating Light in Science comparing measures in the sunshine, shade and indoors.  We have started to understand verb endings in Latin and in Art have been designing Papyrus and even tried our hand at cross stitch in D&T.  Finally in PE we have not only mastered our Maypole but have enjoyed learning about Cricket.

It has been a busy term with lots of variation supported by the sunshine to allow us some outdoor learning.
