I am excited to announce we will be hosting our very first set of football matches here at Monksmoor Park on Friday 24^th November. Ketton CE Primary School, Rutland will bring three teams and Mr Rob Gooding, an ex-professional football player, will referee the matches.

The teams will be Y3/4 boys, Y5 boys and KS2 girls. We will play 7 a side with at least 3 substitutes.

I know there are a number of keen football players, most of which play regularly at school either during lunchtime or during one of our clubs so I am confident we will be able to put together three strong teams. After half-term, Y3 will be invited to play with Y4 during Thursday lunchtime. This will give us an opportunity to play together ahead of the match. I have also managed to persuade Mr Towers, an FA Level 1 coach, to provide three additional training sessions for the boys' teams (the girls' team is already coached on a Monday lunch time!).

If you would like your child to be considered for one of the teams, they must attend either the Monday lunch training (girls) or the Friday after-school training (boys).

Everyone remains welcome during the Thursday and Friday lunchtime football sessions, which Y3 are now invited to. Please remember you must provide a complete change of kit for these sessions, particularly as the weather begins to change. This includes football boots (or trainers) and socks.
