Forest School - Pollinator planting

Some of the children in Year 2 chose to plant wildflower seeds in their Forest School session this week. We talked about the importance of pollinators and we planted species to encourage butterflies and bees. The children thought it was unusual that these seeds just had to be planted onto raked earth rather than poked down into the soil. Fingers crossed that we will see some shoots appearing in the future!
