Forest School - Shelter for all
What a difference a day makes!
Year 2 were busy making some mini dens for small animals and people in the sunshine on Tuesday while on Wednesday Year 3 were creating large dens to shelter from the snow!
The children in Year 2 worked in pairs or three to create a safe shelter for their doll or animal. They thought about where to site the shelter, how to keep the occupant warm and snug and then set about selecting suitable materials to use from Forest School. Year 3 worked slightly more quickly as the snow showers got heavier! It was great to see some good teamwork, discussion and resilience when things didn't quite go to plan on the first attempt from both classes.
More bird feeders were made by reusing plastic milk cartons, so I hope some of you get feathered visitors to your garden when you put them up. I've cable tied the ones made for Forest School to the fence, and we're looking forward to seeing who visits!
