Reception - Insects and Frogs
As the weather is getting warmer more and more insects are emerging just in time for us to start focusing on them in our learning! We have been learning about the different parts and names of insects. We have also been reading 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' by Eric Carle and looking at what the Caterpillar ate through the week, one slice of chocolate cake, one ice cream cone, one pickle...
With the help of Mrs Brock we have continued our gardening jobs this week, do keep and eye on our wonderful green spaces as they flourish over the rest of term. We have been tending to the planters, pots and the allotment plot.
At Forest School, we were lucky enough to spy and catch nine frogs in the grass! After admiring them we carefully released them into the pond. We also got very muddy!
Now for Miss Ray's and Miss Rashid's appropriately themed joke of the week:
How did the caterpillar get 100 feet in the air?
He rolled onto his back!
