We have had a fun week in Year 2!  In maths we have moved on to measure so have been learning how to measure lines and objects using centimetres and metres.  I wonder what you can measure at home? 

In English, we have had lots of fun with “The Day the Crayons Quit” and have now moved on to looking at instructions.  To start things off we followed a set of instructions to make an apple car!  Then we unpicked the instructions to identify their features such as numbered steps, imperative verbs and time conjunctions.  Next week we’ll have a go at writing our own!
