Year 4 - Anglian Water Live Lesson
Woodpecker Class learnt a lot about the work of Anglian Water last Friday when they joined Richard and Caroline from the company for their live lesson. The company clean 1.2 billion litres of tap water and 1 billion litres of used sewage water each day! The children were encouraged to be “water-wise”: turning the tap off while brushing their teeth and keeping showers to 5 minutes long. The children chose some great materials to help clean and filter the water during the live experiment.
In Science, the children have been working with Mrs Brock to begin their exploration of simple series circuits. They discovered that when more bulbs are added, the light from the bulbs appears dimmer.
During a very relaxing art session, we experimented with warm and cool colour palettes in preparation for starting our final landscape compositions next week.
In PE, great teamwork continued with our final session in the “Face Race” where we had to be well-organised to get the equipment we needed and work together to create faces according to the face maps.
