Year 4 - End of Term Perspective
What a busy last week of term it’s been! Woodpeckers have spent time this week consolidating their subtraction skills and thinking how they can look at word based problems to identify if they need to add or subtract to find the solution. In science we reviewed our learning on electricity and circuits, and in PE we played a few team games applying our essential skills learnt over the past few weeks.
As part of our topic learning we have looked at how artists use a technique called ‘atmospheric perspective’ to give the appearance of mountains at different distances from the viewpoint and how the use of colour can evoke different feelings based on cool and warm colour choices. As part of the learning we had a go at applying tonal sketching, cross-hatching and blending as well as applying a ‘wash’ using watercolour paints.
