KS2 Running Club

This event will take place between 8:00am and 8:40am on 26/09/2023 and on Tuesday and Thursday each week thereafter until 30/11/2023.

The event will not take place on the following dates:
  • 24/10/2023
  • 26/10/2023
  • 23/11/2023

We are excited to launch our first ‘Running Club’ for Key Stage 2 pupils.

Starting from the school car park, we will follow the path to and around the country park for 15 mins, then turn round and come back.  Each session, we hope to increase our distance, aiming for 5k.  Once this is achieved, we will continue to 10k!

Using tools such as ‘Couch to 5k’ as our guide, we will learn how to pace ourselves to achieve our goal of completing the Santa Dash on 10th December.

The club will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays and leave the school promptly at 8am. Children in Years 3-5 are welcome to attend both days or just one if they wish.  Spaces must be booked on ParentMail to ensure we have parental consent.

By booking a space you are confirming:

  • You will ensure your child comes to school in suitable weather appropriate running clothing and footwear, ready to leave the school at 8:00am.
  • School uniform/PE kit/Forest School clothes should be provided for children to change into.
  • You understand that certain weather conditions may mean the club will need to be cancelled at short notice.  We will endeavour to cancel the club the day before.

Children should be dropped off at the school hall door where they will be met by a member of staff.

To enter the Santa Dash 5k, a commitment must be made and entry fee paid.  Details to follow.

If your child would like to attend, you must book them a space using ParentMail where parental consent can be given for your child to attend this free school club.
