On Thursday a group of year 3 children took part in an athletics tournament competing against other schools across Northamptonshire. Each school was allocated a Commonwealth country to compete for and we were given Australia.

During the event the children competed in four events; the sprint, vortex throw, standing long jump and a 400m run. The children were amazing and gave each event their best effort.

In the month before the tournament the whole school worked on an art project set by Northamptonshire Sport. Every school in the tournament was challenged to create a huge artwork for their designated Commonwealth country. We are very pleased to announce we were selected out of 28 Northamptonshire Schools for the best artwork!

The artworks will be taken to Birmingham and will be used for decoration throughout the city and sports venues. Keep a lookout for our award-winning art if you are watching the Commonwealth Games, in person or on TV!
