The children in our Nursery are very important members of the Monksmoor Park school community and benefit from our understanding that young children develop best when they feel safe, secure and relaxed.
In line with our underlying ethos as a Church school, our priority is to ensure that each child feels valued and that we foster an atmosphere in which the children treat each other with warmth, friendship and consideration.
We make a point of integrating the children into the life of the school as a whole, often gathering together for collective worship or to take part in whole school activities. We believe this strengthens their sense of belonging, giving them the confidence to express themselves and have a go at new activities, which is the best way for them to explore their abilities and make the most of their potential.
The children's learning takes place both indoors and outside, and we make full use of our wonderful Forest School area, which is often the highlight of the children's week. We also seek to provide the children with the opportunity to engage in trips out and to enjoy visits from people within our local community.
The well-being and happiness of the children in our care is the most important part of their day-to-day life at Monksmoor Park Nursery.
